Claudio Marciello |
Claudio “Tano” Marciello was born in Lugano, Buenos
Aires, but he lived in San Justo during his entire life. He started
to play guitar at the age of 9, influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Santana.
He bought his first guitar at a music store in Ramos Mejía at the age
of 15, and he is still keeping it as his main instrument on stage.
He became very known among the best musicians in the area since a very
young age, because of his natural talent for shredding. He played in
several bands, such as TAURO, GENERAL CRANCK, EL EXPRESO and TRONADOR.
He formed VALDRAGON, where he met his actual bandmate, Beto Ceriotti.
He was also part of EL RELOJ for a while, one of the most traditional
progressive rock bands in Argentina. In the year 1995, Ricardo Iorio,
the leader of HERMETICA which was the first great Argentinian metal
band, casted him to become a part of his group. And although Marcelo
didn´t joined Roberto in that moment, they came together later, to
form a new band called ALMAFUERTE, which became the most important
metal act in Argentina. With ALMAFUERTE, Claudio participated on every
tour that the band has done, and on every album that the band has recorded.
Besides playing with ALMAFUERTE, he has
also released three solo albums (“Puesto en marcha”, “De pie”, “Identificado”),
and collaborated with many of the most important musicians in the country
(León Gieco, Pappo Napolitano, Flavio Cianciarulo, amond others). He
is recognized as one of the best guitar players in the history on Argentinian
rock music. |
